Intro to Data Science with Election Data

Description

We are going to dive into data science using open source election data from city, municipal, state, and national agencies to better understand the makeup of our legislative districts. Event will start with a discussion on what types of data are available, where to get it, and how different organizations might use it. From there we will dive into some hands-on tutorials on mapping and analyzing this data. This workshop is perfect for anyone who is new to data science and looking for interesting data sets to explore or someone who had a lot of data science experience but wants to learn more about open data sets.
