Diversity in Tech: Meet the Chiefs

Description

This event is open to all races, genders nationalities, geographic locations and ages.

About this Event

In the past year, the world has changed more than it has in the past decade and many are wondering how those changes will affect the tech industry. Virtual hiring processes, employee resource groups, working remotely, new diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging initiatives and many other factors have altered how organizations connect with current and future employees.

On April 21st, at 12pm Pacific, the Diversity in Tech panel series will be hosting a discussion with several heads of diversity at technology companies, to discuss “Where do we go from here?”

This panel discussion will be focused on current trends, suggested best practices for organizations looking to foster belonging, and recommendations for career seekers of color looking for new opportunities in tech. We will also hear the personal stories of how these leaders landed their roles in tech, and how they have seen success coming from backgrounds that aren't over-represented.

Leading the discussion will be Rachel Williams, Chief Diversity Officer of X, The Moonshot Factory, Kham Ward, Head of Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging,, Jason Atwater, Chief Diversity Officer of Ancestry.com and others TBA. Also joining will be various tech recruiters looking to connect with those looking for a career change.

Attendance is free, but registration is required.
