Tech for Gen AI (Age 7-11)

Description

Note: This resource was first designed and delivered in February 2024. If your class joined us for the Gen AI lesson previously then they have already engaged with this content.

Are your students interested in AI, how it can be used in their daily lives and how it might develop in the future? Could they see themselves working in a future career using or designing AI?

Join us on Wednesday 17th April at 2:00pm, when our Curriculum and Resources Lead (and experienced primary school teacher), Poppy Patel, will deliver a virtual 50 minute Tech We Can LIVE lesson for children aged 7 - 11. This will be an interactive session where the children will be guided to complete paper based tasks and partner discussions - they therefore need to be based at a table with a piece of paper and pen/pencil.

Poppy will highlight the role Gen AI technology plays in our current lives, how it can be used for good and how it may develop. She will also show some of the careers within Gen AI technology that students could pursue in the future.

The content is ideal for a Key Stage 2 lesson (P4 - P7 in Scotland) in the classroom environment or from home. Simply complete the registration form to reserve your spot and we'll send you a link to join the live lesson.

This lesson is sponsored by Accenture and this particular session is being delivered in partnership with the author Beverly Clarke. Beverly has kindly offered all attendees of this session a limited opportunity to download a FREE copy of her book 'The Digital Adventures of Ava and Chip: Smart Home.
