SYNOPSIS

Traditional models of employment don’t suit everyone. There are barriers in normal workplaces and recruiters assume standard qualifications and education.

Entrepreneurship may be a viable alternative. It provides more autonomy and suits those with the qualities of being brave and not afraid to try. It allows someone to create a workspace under their control.

There are tangible rewards, for example for someone who likes to make their own things. It also uses the creative abilities common with neurodivergent people. Yet this comes with financial insecurity, anxiety of the unknown and needing to pitch to investors. These sorts of issues will be explored.
