Position Overview: As a Senior Systems Administrator with Cisco Meraki experience, you will play a critical role in managing, maintaining, and enhancing our organization's IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our network and systems, with a focus on Cisco Meraki technologies. This position offers a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our organization and support our growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Cisco Meraki Network Management:
    • Design, implement, and manage Cisco Meraki network solutions, including routers, switches, cameras, and wireless access points.
    • Configure and optimize Meraki security appliances, VPNs, and SD-WAN features to ensure network performance and security.
  2. System Administration:
    • Monitor system performance, resolve issues, and ensure high availability of critical systems.
  3. Network Security:
    • Implement and maintain security best practices, including firewall rules, intrusion detection, and vulnerability assessments.
    • Conduct regular security audits and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  4. Backup and Recovery:
    • Develop and manage backup and disaster recovery plans to safeguard critical data and systems.
  5. User Support:
    • Provide technical support to end-users, addressing IT-related issues and ensuring a positive user experience.
    • Collaborate with the IT helpdesk to resolve support tickets efficiently.
  6. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain detailed system documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
    • Generate reports on system performance, security, and capacity planning.
  7. Vendor Management:
    • Work closely with technology vendors and service providers to ensure optimal service levels and negotiate contracts when necessary.
  8. Team Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams on projects, troubleshooting, and infrastructure upgrades.

 

Position Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator, with a focus on Cisco Meraki technologies.
  • Cisco Meraki certification (e.g., CMNA, CMNO, or CCNA) is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems.
  • Proficiency in network protocols, routing, and firewall configuration.
  • Experience delivering business intelligence in related tech/consumer field, experience working within a non-profit business is a plus
  • Experience working on ad-hoc teams
  • Meets bold goals for the business with an eagerness to challenge the status quo in order to meet objectives
  • Excels at project management to deliver multiple competing objectives and priorities on time, and while coordinating with multiple internal teams, each with their own priorities
  • Empathy for "internal customers" and curiosity to understand their needs and wants
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity. This role is fluid, and will frequently evolve based on agency priorities
