Senior Cloud DevSecOps Engineer

HOW YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO/CTO), the Cloud DevSecOps Engineer is responsible for maintaining, securing, and optimizing ETR’s AWS-based infrastructure primarily using Terraform and managed infrastructure as code (IaC). Following industry best practices and working in a highly collaborative setting, the Senior Cloud DevSecOps Engineer designs, implements, deploys, and monitors infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and applications. The Senior Cloud DevSecOps Engineer brings a security-first mindset. This is a remote position and can work from anywhere within the United States.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
- 5+ years of production-level experience with AWS.
- 3+ years of experience writing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Expertise in one or more of the following: ECS, EC2, RDS, EFS, S3, GuardDuty, IAM, VPC, VPN.
- Experience with Terraform Cloud (Hashicorp Certified Cloud Engineer preferred).
- Experience with CloudFormation (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer preferred).
- Experience with IaC and infrastructure testing strategies.
- Strong understanding of and experience with Docker and maintaining Docker images
- Experience with fully automating CI/CD pipelines end-to-end, from code commits to production.
- A strong background in software engineering.
- Hands-on programming expertise in one or more of the following: Python, Bash, Go JSON, YAML, HCL
- Proficiency with code repository management (Git knowledge required).
- Experience achieving compliance and going through audits (SOC2, HIPAA, vendor, etc.)
ADDITIONAL SPECIFICATIONS:
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with MS Office, Outlook, and supporting applications, including Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to meet short deadlines, and willingness to work additional hours during deadline periods.
- Ability to travel as assigned.
- The use of a personal vehicle or rental car for ETR business will require a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
OTHER:
- Familiarity with ColdFusion (CFML) a plus
- Familiarity with Mura CMS a plus
- Familiarity with Slatwall ecommerce a plus
- K-12 EdTech (LMS, LTI) knowledge a plus
Location: Remote – United States.
Starting Pay Range: $136,400-$166,700 annually. The typical hiring range for this position is $136,400 to $151,500 at 100% FTE. The starting salary is determined based on the candidate’s knowledge, skills, and experience.
