Data Systems Intern

Arkansas Foodbank is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Systems Intern to join our team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in database management while contributing to meaningful projects that support our mission. - Maintain a mySQL database to archive data from Oasis Insight Plus software data.
- Create tables and queries within the database to provide necessary data.
- Create and maintain reports and visualization from data in database.
- Assist with Service Insights Training as needed.
- Troubleshoot data inconsistencies including duplicates and typos-working to address these issues at both the agency and Network level.
- Produce reports using data for a variety of stakeholders.
- Work with the Data Manager to interpret data and present findings.
- Collaborate with the Data Manager and Data Systems Director to develop and implement exploration tools and dashboards.
- Participate in team meetings and trainings
- Stay informed about current issues, trends, policies, regulations, and other matters that may impact the Foodbank.

Requirements
The following qualifications are preferred for the candidate or employee, however, other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements upon approval of Chief Information Officer.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Technology or a related field at the time of the application.
- Familiarity with mySQL preferred
- Ability to recognize and address issues as they arise, solve problems effectively, and evaluate results to improve project performance.
- Ability to identify business reporting needs, communicates requirements clearly, and create plans that build trust with stakeholders.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with internal teams and external partners
Salary Description: 16.00/hour
