OAA Data Analyst Intern

As a OAA Data Analyst Intern, you will play an integral part of Penumbra's Production process supporting the Operations Applications & Analytics (OA&A) team by assisting in the development of dashboards, performing basic data analysis, and exploring AI tools to support business insights. This part-time internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in data analytics within a professional environment, helping the intern build foundational skills in data visualization, reporting, and digital tools.
What You'll Work On:
- Assist in creating and updating Tableau dashboards to visualize operational data.
- Support data collection and cleaning from Excel, CSV, and other sources.
- Perform basic data analysis to identify trends and insights.
- Learn and apply introductory Python or R scripts for data transformation.
- Explore AI tools and contribute to small-scale automation or predictive tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to understand business needs and translate them into simple reports or visuals.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve data workflows.
- Maintain organized documentation of work and follow data privacy guidelines.
What You Bring:
- Currently enrolled in high school (junior or senior year preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and curiosity about data
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and follow instructions
- Demonstrated interest in technology, analytics, or AI through schoolwork or personal projects
- Willingness to learn Python, R, or SQL
- Basic knowledge of Excel and familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus
- Interest in data science, computer science, or business analytics
Working Conditions:
General office environment. May have business travel from 0% - 5%. Requires some lifting and moving of up to 5 pounds. Must be able to move between buildings and floors. Must be able to remain stationary and use a computer or other standard office equipment, such as a printer or copy machine, for an extensive period of time each day. Must be able to read, prepare emails, and produce documents and spreadsheets. Must be able to move within the office and access file cabinets or supplies, as needed. Must be able to communicate and exchange accurate information with employees at all levels on a daily basis.
Base Pay Range Per Hour: $18.00 - $27.00
Individual compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
