The Senior Coordinator of Technology, Project Manager, will lead the selection, implementation, and integration of technology platforms across the Chef Ann Foundation's tech stack, providing hands-on project oversight and technical support to ensure seamless workflows and optimal organizational efficiency.

Job Description

The Senior Coordinator of Technology, Project Manager, will lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new technology platforms while providing hands-on technical support throughout the project lifecycle. This role encompasses managing complex technology projects from conception through deployment, with particular emphasis on creating robust integrations between existing and new systems to streamline operations.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Technology, this position serves as a critical bridge between organizational needs and technical solutions, managing both strategic planning and day-to-day execution to ensure technology investments align with our mission to improve school food systems. You will collaborate cross-functionally with team members across all departments to understand requirements, identify technology gaps, and implement solutions that support our work reaching children and schools nationwide, while also negotiating with vendors and contractors to secure optimal solutions and pricing.

Key Responsibilities

New Platform Implementation & Vendor Relations

  • Lead the full lifecycle of technology projects, including needs assessment, vendor evaluation, RFP development, contractor management, implementation planning, and deployment.
  • Evaluate and recommend new platforms and tools that align with organizational goals and budget parameters.
  • Develop project timelines, manage stakeholder expectations, and ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis for technology solutions.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors and contractors; manage ongoing vendor relationships and performance.
  • Troubleshoot implementation issues and serve as the primary escalation point for vendor/technical challenges.

Systems Integration & Architecture

  • Design and oversee the implementation of integrations between existing and new platforms within our tech stack.
  • Maintain documentation of current systems, data flows, and integration points.
  • Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting to resolve integration issues and coordinate with contractors and internal team members.
  • Recommend solutions to improve system interoperability and reduce manual data entry.
  • Ensure data security and compliance standards are maintained across all integrations.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing with team members and provide training during platform transitions.

Team Support & Training

  • Provide technical support and training to staff during platform transitions and implementations.
  • Create and maintain internal documentation, user guides, and best practice resources.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing with team members to ensure solutions meet departmental needs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for technology-related questions and issues.

Other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.

Position Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent;
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in technology project management, systems integration, hands-on technical implementation, or related field;
  • Demonstrated experience selecting, implementing, and integrating software platforms with hands-on involvement and contractor support;
  • Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches) (Level 3);
  • Proficiency in GSuite platforms, especially on MacOS; experience in Asana and Salesforce (Level 4);
  • Technical understanding of APIs, data integration tools, and general system architecture;
  • Experience negotiating with vendors and managing contractor relationships;
  • Ability to work virtually and maintain strong communication across a distributed team;
  • Up to 5% travel annually.

Preferred Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree;
  • Equivalent professional experience may be substituted for formal education;
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent strong project management experience;
  • 1-2 years’ experience with native API connections, especially with Salesforce NPSP. Custom API experience is a bonus;
  • Strong proficiency in GSuite platforms, especially on Mac OS; experience in Asana, Salesforce, Zapier, Zoom, and Adobe. (Level 5)

Compensation

Compensation ranges between $56,687 - $72,768 per year and will be commensurate with the candidate’s previous experience and credentials. The Chef Ann Foundation is a great place to work.
