Our job listings come from two main sources, which is why some are visible to
everyone and others are only available to Premium Members. Here’s how it works:
- Standard Job Posts (Visible for All Job Seekers): These are jobs that
organizations pay to post on Tech Jobs for Good. Because these organizations are
supporting our platform
financially, we promote these roles across our site and social media channels, and
they’re completely free for all job seekers to view.
- Premium Membership Job Posts: These are roles we find
ourselves - they’re open positions at mission-driven organizations that haven’t paid to
post with us. We collect and organize these from over 1,000 career pages so Premium
Members can access even more opportunities in the tech for good space.
Why the distinction?
When Tech Jobs for Good started, we only showed jobs from companies that paid to post with
us. But in 2024, we
surveyed and interviewed our community to see how we could best help with their job search,
and heard loud and clear that people wanted access to more roles - even if those companies
weren’t actively working with us.
To do this we are checking the career pages of thousands of employers that we've vetted
multiple times each day and have posted over 4,500 unique tech jobs with salaries in the
last year. We’re actively adding more organizations hiring for tech roles that match our
impact criteria every day.
A Premium Membership increases your visibility by giving you earlier access to roles from
more than 1,000 vetted social-impact organizations.
Our system continuously scrapes and refreshes career pages, which means Premium users see new
openings as they appear instead of finding them days or weeks later on larger job boards.
That time advantage matters because hiring managers typically review the earliest
applications first.
We focus on curating tech roles with salaries that align with mission-driven work, helping
keep you focused on higher-quality opportunities rather than spending hours checking dozens
of career sites manually or wading through poor fit organizations.
A Premium Membership can be canceled at any point from your account settings, and the
access remains active through the end of the current paid period.
There is no pause feature, but you are free to restart your subscription whenever you want by
signing up again, and your profile and saved information remain in place when you
return.
